![]() At the age of 7, Narharidas performed Tulsidas’s Upanayana – a Hindu culture sacred thread ceremony. Narharidas, the disciple of Ramanand, adopted Rambhola at the age of 6, who later renamed him ‘Tulsidas’. Consequently, she took him to a village named Haripur resided there for five and a half years, after which she passed away, and Rambola was left to fend for himself. ![]() Rambola was abandoned by his parents and left in the care of Chuniya since they believed he was born on an inauspicious day. When he was born, he looked nothing like a baby, but instead like a 5–6-year-old, with good health and a fully developed set of dentures! He was named ‘Rambola’ since the first word he uttered after he was born was Rama. According to the myths, Tulsidas was in his mother’s womb for around 12 months.
